AN APARTMENT IN AN APARTMENT BUILDING, LIVING ROOM. DAY.

FRIÐGEIR (30 – 35 years old) is emptying a wooden cabinet. Its drawers contain all sorts of small things, sunglasses, deodorant, an electric cable, textbook in Spanish, and so forth. FRIÐGEIR places these things in an empty shoebox. When the box is full, he puts a lit on it, seals it with masking tape and writes on it with a black marker: “Random junk from Eiríkur”.

A CORRIDOR IN AN APARTMENT BUILDING. DAY.

FRIÐGEIR carries the the cabinet down the stairs. He’s still alone although it’s evidently a task for at least two people. Somehow he manages, though. Eventually gets the cabinet out of the door of the main entrance. He sweats and wipes moisture from his forehead with his T-shirt. A small jeep with a freight trailer attached is parked just outside the entrance. FRIÐGEIR lifts the cabinet onto the trailer, opens the car and sits into the drivers seat. He drives off.

A RECYCLE STATION. AFTERNOON.

FRIÐGEIR throws the cabinet into a container marked “Wooden furniture”. The cabinet breaks into pieces as it lands on top of other broken furniture.

AN APARTMENT IN AN APARTMENT BUILDING, LIVING ROOM. AFTERNOON.

The apartment is unmanned. Yellow light flows through the windows. The box marked “Random junk from Eiríkur” is positioned on the floor and the imprint is very legible.
