Against ‘Inspiration’

Inspiration
The idea that artists and other creatives need inspiration is a ridiculous romantic myth. Today there is no need to produce anything at all. There is so much data flying around the world and available online that all a ‘creative’ needs to do is take a tiny sample of it, and present this as their ‘art’. Everything has been written and said already, but it is far funnier the second time around when it is randomly generated by a computer software programme. Keep repeating to yourself: “I don’t need inspiration, I just need to improve my programming skills!”
